Why I Smoke Again

I tower over my pathetic pet, his eyes pleading as I grind the heel of my boot into his back, forcing him to kneel on the crimson carpet. With gloved fingers, I light my cigarette, inhaling deeply before exhaling smoke into his quivering face. “Open wide, worm,” I purr, tapping ash onto his extended tongue, watching it sizzle. I press the glowing tip closer, branding his submission, his whimpers music to my sadistic soul. He exists only for my torment, a vessel for my divine cruelty.
